The Hip Shooting Position
THE HIP SHOOTING POSITION
The eyes, elbow, and the wrist are the keys to good direction of fire from the hip position. The gun must become an extension of the wrist, the elbow must act to join the gun and wrist to the body in such manner that the shooter’s muscles will respond to visual clues. A fact which should not be overlooked in evaluating this type of rapid and direct fire is that it may be the answer to the problem of “ Gimme your Gun”.
A good defensive firing person could reply, possibly with their revolver, "Here it comes - in six easy installments." Learn this type of shooting at, most likely, the only place in the Long Island, New York Metropolitan Area by Jim Dinan, Lifetime Master-Police Combat pistol shot when you attend the Training and Competion shoots at The James Dinan School.
